Ingredients Checklist(tap to check off)
- 2 cups Bird seed blend (millet, canary seed, safflower, and sunflower)
- 1/4 cup Unsweetened dried cranberries (chopped fine)
- 1 packet (7g) Unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/2 cup Boiling water
- 4 pieces (10-inch) Natural hemp jute twine (for hanging loop)
Baking Instructions(tap to mark complete)
- In a heat-safe bowl, dissolve the unflavored gelatin powder into 1/2 cup of boiling water, stirring until completely clear.
- Add the bird seed blend and chopped dried cranberries to the gelatin liquid, stirring until every seed is glossy and coated.
- Tie a small knot in each hemp string to form a loop. Line 4 small paper cups, silicone bell molds, or cookie cutters with plastic wrap.
- Pack the sticky seed mixture tightly around the twine into the molds, pressing down firmly with the back of a spoon.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours until rock solid. Gently pop out of molds and hang from a sturdy outdoor branch or bird perch!
